Director of Planning

AtWork is currently partnering with an excellent Manufacturing Company in Las Vegas, NV who is in search of a Director of Planning with 10 - 15 years production experience, who will lead the strategic planning, and oversight of production schedules and supply chain management for a 50+ year manufacturing company, experiencing rapid growth. The ideal candidate will have experience in nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, or food manufacturing.

The Director of Planning will be responsible for the strategic, effective and efficient planning of the plants' operational production goals through collaboration with executive leadership, and cross functional business partners, ensuring supply chain optimization, effective use of resources and a keen eye for continuous improvement opportunities and implementation.

Responsibilities:

• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for manufacturing operations, collaborating with executive leadership to integrate business goals into actionable plans, and leading the quarterly S&OP Process.
• Production Scheduling: Work closely with production teams; overseeing the development and maintenance of the production plan, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and timely delivery of products.
• Supply Chain Optimization: Collaborate with supply chain partners to enhance material sourcing, procurement, and distribution processes, while implementing strategies to minimize lead times, manage and optimize inventory levels, and ensure a responsive and efficient supply chain.
• Forecasting and Demand Planning: Lead the development of accurate demand forecasts based on market trends, sales data, and other relevant factors, while working cross-functionally to align production plans with sales forecasts and inventory requirements. Coordinate and map our requirements for successful introduction of new products.
• Continuous Improvement: Implement performance metrics and regularly analyze key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Identify opportunities for process improvement, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Collaboration and Communication: Build collaboration between planning, production, and other cross-functional teams, while communicate effectively with key stakeholders, providing regular updates on production status, challenges, and opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, business, or a related field.
• 10 - 15 years' experience in nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or related manufacturing industry.
