Summary

Personal Lines insurance is a challenging market right now. Perhaps the most challenging in 20+ years. However, that being said, there are steps we can take now as a company to position ourselves for growth when the market shifts.

This starts with getting back to the fundamentals. These fundamentals are retention of existing clients, and leveraging our existing database of X-Dates, Past Clients, and current referral partners to generate new business. To do this we need a leader that is operational minded. They not only need to have personal experience in driving retention, but also experience in driving sales as well.

• Has the ability to run all operations of department.
• Understands and can read and make decisions based off of a P&L.

• Likeable/Personable

• Will need to feel comfortable meetings with high level execs to talk about and sell solutions which would be pushed down to the rest of the personal lines team for execution.
• Doesn’t have to be liked or be everyone’s best friend.

• Coach/Trainer

• Needs to be able to make our existing people better.
• We are getting back to hiring entry level personal lines producers that we would train from the ground up.

• Networking

• Re-establish the company w/ Networking Groups such as BNI.
• Re-invigorate already established relationships w/ Major partners
• Working with our Corporate Development specialist to establish new one-to-many relationships and leverage the internal networks of existing personal lines team to assist them in creating their own.

• Understands the importance of carrier relationships.
