POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director of People Operations plays a pivotal role in providing leadership and expertise in our approach to serving our most valuable asset — our people. This includes, but is not limited to, developing and executing human resources strategy in support of the strategic direction of the business, specifically in the areas of talent management, change management, organizational design, performance management, employee relations, and compensation. The Director of People Operations reports directly to the CEO and provides strategic leadership by articulating Human Resources needs and actionable plans to the leadership team.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate closely with business leaders to understand their needs and challenges, proactively identify opportunities to optimize organizational effectiveness and drive performance, offer insights and guidance on all number of employee related issues
  • Identify and drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement and retention, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment aligned with our company values
  • Set the vision and strategy for talent acquisition and employee experience at Vendara
  • Optimize People Operations and streamline core processes like hiring, onboarding, terminations, timekeeping, compensation, benefits, performance management, training, and others that make up the employment life cycle.
  • Create, implement and manage policies that continue to build on our company culture, in alignment with the organization's mission and values and in support of company goals
  • Provide support on organizational changes, restructuring and change management efforts, including M&A activity
  • Respond to employee relations issues, such as employee complaints, harassment/ discrimination allegations, and civil rights complaints
  • Maintain broad and current subject matter knowledge and expertise in federal and state employment laws to advise leadership with solutions for human resources issues and evolving organizational needs.
  • Provides general counsel and direction on the performance management process; Organizes and ensures completion of annual talent review process
  • Ensures HR-related data is secure and maintained consistent with company policies and privacy regulations, and that required reporting and filings are delivered.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • 7 to 10 years of previous experience in a human resources leadership role preferably in financial services, IT or Fintech.
  • Previous HR Generalist experience.
  • Possesses exceptional employee relations skills, cultivating a positive work environment through effective communication, conflict resolution, and building rapport with employees.
  • Demonstrates a high level of initiative and motivation, taking ownership and proactively seeking opportunities to contribute to the organization's goals.
  • Collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams and various departments, fostering positive work relationships and promoting seamless communication across all levels of the organization.
  • Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
  • Multi-state experience is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Must possess excellent judgment and be adept at making quick decisions.
  • Must have excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges.
  • Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts preferred.
  • This position reports directly to the CEO
  • Ability to travel 10%.
