Director of Operations, Partner Operations

As a Director of Operations, you will join the Partner Operations team and spearhead the performance, growth and profitability of a highly strategic $30M+ portfolio of Texas-based services. You will be responsible for successfully landing a significant expansion and pioneering a new model of transit that can be carried over to other core markets. You will have full P&L ownership for one of Via’s most high visibility regions, manage a team of ~10+ team members plus a large team of drivers, and own all service operations.

What You’ll Do:

  • Grow a portfolio of Texas-based markets, with high level executive visibility
  • Take full responsibility of a $30M+ P&L, ensuring financial targets are met and exceeded through exceptional management
  • Shape and implement the strategic vision for these markets pioneering new transit models that’ll serve as a model for other regions
  • Lead, mentor, and expand a team of ~10 Operations Managers and Field Managers, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement
  • Oversee daily operations, aiming to achieve quality of service and financial targets and strong partner satisfaction
  • Be the face of Via; serve as the main point of contact for our partners, helping them develop and grow an excellent transit system
  • Identify potential risks to the market portfolio and implement appropriate mitigation strategies

Who You Are:

  • Proven experience in an operational leadership role, ideally with P&L responsibility.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute business strategies successfully.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working with and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, you don’t accept the status quo and are always looking for creative solutions
  • Strong comfort working in a fast paced environment, operating in ambiguity, managing multiple tasks simultaneously, and taking on responsibility
  • 8+ years of experience, ideally with a combination of consulting and operating experience
  • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree with a record of exceptional academic and professional achievement
