Director of Operations

Position Title: General Manager (GM), North and South America

The client’s expertise lies in smart sensor technology, software solutions and robotics. Their mission is to empower the dairy industry with user-friendly technology and actionable insights, enabling efficient and profitable dairy farm management while promoting high-quality milk production and enhanced animal welfare.

On behalf of its client, MVP Talent Corp is searching for an entrepreneurial business leader to manage and grow the dairy automation business in its strategic markets of the USA and in Latin America. In this role, the GM will be responsible for all go-to-market strategies, develop and grow the distribution network and initiate strategic partnerships to accelerate business penetration. The responsibility covers all regional business and organizational aspects, from day-to-day management to strategic long-term planning of the company’s business in the region, with full P&L responsibility.

NON-Negotiable MUST-HAVE Skills and Qualifications:

• Extensive Dairy Farm automation / technology experience such as wearable sensors, herd management systems, robotics, etc.
• A minimum of 5 years of National / International senior leadership experience
• At least 10 years of total experience in complex system sales in the Dairy Farming Technology industry, of which at least 5 of those years are in a senior leadership position.
• Significant business leadership experience, established relationships, and knowledge of the Dairy Parlor / Farm Technology industry, managing a multifunctional unit in a global organization.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a distributed team of sales professionals to achieve individual and corporate sales targets in North and Latin America.
• Strong previous experience working with channel partners / resellers to ensure product knowledge, differentiating features, in support of sales and KPI’s.
• Previous leadership of an international sales business including managing a P&L.
• Shrewd business acumen, with tenacity, energy, and a passion for people and success.
• Excellent people and communication skills.
• A natural leader, driver and engagement expert with an entrepreneurial mind-set.
• Undergraduate degree from an accredited institution.
• Must be open to extensive travel, both within the USA and abroad.
• Should have a valid driver's license.
• Adept with management and reporting tools.

Nice-to-Have Skills and Requirements:

• A Masters Degree in Business (MBA)
• Animal Ag education and/or certifications

Main (but not exhaustive) Responsibilities:

• Full accountability for America's business performance and financial results.
• Establish a clear multi-year go-to-market strategy for North and Latin America regions aimed at profitable, sustainable sales growth and excellent delivery to customers and partners.
• Manage, improve, and expand a strong ecosystem of channel partners at the regional level to maximize business opportunities and to enable cost-effective delivery of solutions.
• Build and develop a solid organization in all aspects, including business performance, leadership, infrastructure and routines, to ensure continuous scale-up and engagement.
• Provide International HQ with a clear and regular view of business opportunities, recommended priorities, and quantified investments necessary to build the region’s business to the next level.
