Compensation Range: $90,000-110,000 per annum

Compensation will be dependent upon geographic region, education, and experience

Job Description

As the Director of Operations (DOO), you will report directly to the CEO. As the DOO you will be pivotal in overseeing our facility's daily operations and strategic direction. You will collaborate closely with clinical staff, administrative teams, and external stakeholders to ensure the highest standards of care and operational efficiency. The DOO Provides direct supervision of all MHT team members, dietary team members, maintenance associates and housekeepers. This role supports training/development of the operations teams. Assure the program policies and procedures are followed by staff and in compliance with DHCS and Joint Commission standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and guidance to all operational aspects of the residential treatment center, including facility management, staffing, and regulatory compliance. Expected to be part of the leadership/administrative on call rotation once per month. Expected to cover team member shifts when coverage is not obtained
  • Team Management: Supervise and support department heads and operational staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities.
  • Quality Assurance: Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of standards of practice set forth by company policy, The Joint Commission and associated state licensing bodies. Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to ensure adherence to clinical protocols, regulatory standards, and best practices in mental health care.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage the budgeting process, monitor financial performance, and identify opportunities for cost containment and revenue enhancement.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives that align with the organization's mission and objectives.
  • Risk Management: Assess and mitigate operational risks through proactive planning and implementation of effective risk management strategies.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Foster effective communication and collaboration between clinical, administrative, and support departments to optimize service delivery and patient outcomes.
  • Compliance and Accreditation: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and accreditation standards relevant to residential mental health treatment facilities.
  • Community Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with community stakeholders, including healthcare providers, referral sources, and advocacy groups.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations, preferably in a residential mental health treatment setting.
  • Licensure/Certification: Relevant licensure or certification may be required depending on local regulations.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements and quality improvement processes.
