Job Overview

Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), the Director of Nursing plays a pivotal role in directing Nursing/Patient Care Services. This remote position requires up to 50% travel, primarily to locations in Colorado, Texas, Kansas, and Oregon.

Responsibilities

Direct and administer Nursing/Patient Care Services in alignment with organizational medical and nursing standards.

Manage Clinical Assessment (CA) department/staff, including performance reviews, coaching, and goal setting.

Oversee initial patient and advanced wound care therapy referrals, ensuring accuracy and eligibility for treatment.

Conduct clinical education and training for new and existing employees, support new center openings, and provide clinical shift coverage as needed.

Participate in the selection, evaluation, and development of clinic staff.

Lead quality assessments for each clinic, make improvement recommendations, and ensure compliance with standards.

Collaborate with HR & Training departments on new hire onboarding and ongoing staff training needs.

Stay updated on wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy standards and educate clinic staff accordingly.

Maintain relationships with medical directors and ensure effective clinic operations.

Lead and support clinical research studies as part of departmental initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) graduated from an accredited school or college of nursing. Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Current state licensure and 5+ years of management experience in med-surgery and/or wound care.

Certification such as CWS, WCC, or WOCN required; CHRN preferred or obtain certification within 3 years.

Strong understanding of EMR systems, preferably Wound Expert and/or Intellicure.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Travel

This position requires up to 50% travel via ground and/or air, occasionally including weekends.

Physical Demands

Candidates must meet physical demands including standing, walking, driving, lifting up to 50 pounds, and sitting for extended periods. Physical agility in pushing, pulling, stooping, squatting, and shifting heavy objects may be required.
