Summary

The Writing Revolution is seeking a dynamic and innovative Director of Marketing to join our team, reporting directly to the co-CEOs. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that elevate our brand, drive engagement, and expand our reach. Your expertise will be instrumental in crafting compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences, leveraging both traditional and digital channels to amplify our mission. You will collaborate closely with various departments to ensure cohesive and impactful marketing initiatives that support our organizational goals. Duties/Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with The Writing Revolution’s organizational goals and objectives; collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integrated and cohesive marketing efforts
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a small but mighty marketing team; foster a collaborative and innovative team culture
  • Brand Management: Collaborate with our Creative Director on the development and maintenance of a strong brand presence in the K-12 education sector
  • Digital Marketing: Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns to drive lead generation and brand awareness; optimize website performance and user experience
  • Content Development: Drive the creation of engaging content to support marketing initiatives; collaborate with internal teams and external partners for content development
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and opportunities; use data-driven insights to inform marketing strategies
  • Campaign Analytics: Collaborate with our Sr. Director of Technology to implement robust analytics and reporting systems to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns; use data to optimize and refine marketing strategies
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the marketing budget effectively; ensure optimal allocation of resources to achieve marketing goals
  • Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align marketing efforts with organizational objectives; provide regular updates on marketing performance

Qualifications/Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred
  • Proven track record with at least 7 years of progressive experience in marketing roles
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a marketing team
  • A strong understanding of the education landscape;state and RFP vendor procedures, customer segmentation, and K-12 sales cycle
  • Familiarity with the challenges and opportunities in the writing instruction domain is a plus
  • Expertise in digital marketing strategies, including content marketing, SEO, social media, email campaigns, and online advertising
  • Experience with marketing automation tools and analytics platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Ability to measure and analyze the performance of marketing initiatives
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and identify innovative marketing opportunities
  • Strong ability to develop creative and compelling campaigns

Salary Range

$160,000 - $175,000, dependent on experience.
