Read-A-Thon provides multiple fundraising products to elementary and middle schools that make it easy to set up and administer highly successful fundraisers. As Director of Marketing, you will be leading every aspect of our marketing strategy across conception, creation, delivery and reporting for our brand and products. You have a thorough understanding of how to create and manage campaigns to drive engagement and conversion and strong experience with performance marketing channels. You aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves and create content, while also collaborating with other teams on ideas and solutions, and you know when and how to best utilize agency resources. You understand which metrics to track and how to interpret the resulting numbers and data, and you can manage the technology and tools behind it all. You have a keen eye for marketing trends and attention to detail to help continue to grow our brand and product.


This role can be local, or remote with occasional travel to our Fort Worth, TX office.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop overall marketing strategy through a deep understanding of our customers, and utilizing new, innovative and creative ways to reach them online and offline
  • Create, execute and manage day to day marketing including Paid, Email, Social and Offline channels
  • Deliver best in class execution across setup, content and messaging, delivery, reporting, and optimization
  • Monitor and report key marketing performance metrics for both online and offline customer and engagement KPIs
  • Manage external marketing partner agency relationships
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices to ensure the adoption of the latest tools, techniques and strategies
  • Develop a deep understanding of our target customer and overall knowledge of the education market



Requirements:


  • 5+ years of marketing experience with ownership of the marketing strategy and extensive, hands-on involvement in executing digital media campaigns using performance marketing channels
  • 2+ years people management
  • Direct experience developing and executing successful and creative marketing strategies and campaigns for growth
  • Strong knowledge of Hubspot CRM and marketing system
  • Experience marketing to the Education market preferred
  • Experience managing large-scale cross-channel digital campaigns
  • Proven expertise in building audiences and sales utilizing email, paid and social channels
  • Strong understanding of major ad platform algorithms, ad products, optimization levers, and roadmaps also pertaining to broader industry developments impacting our program
  • Proven ability to develop media campaigns or working directly with media teams
  • Familiarity with media campaign setup across platforms such as Google, Meta and others
  • Proven experience managing high performing teams
  • Strong track record of delivering results in a high growth environment, with the ability to interpret, analyze and present metrics and trends
  • Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to influence at all levels within the organization
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work in and contribute to a collaborative team environment
