Grundium is seeking a highly skilled Director of Marketing and Field Applications to lead our marketing efforts and strengthen our client partnerships. In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans, managing key client relationships, and driving marketing initiatives that align with our organizational goals. Your expertise will help shape the future of our innovative technology in the marketplace.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve revenue, profit, and customer satisfaction goals through new customer acquisition and within the existing customer base.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain high-impact relationships as the executive liaison with key customers and partners.
  • Training and Support: Deliver scientific applications and technology training associated with Grundium software and hardware while supporting IT integration and remote or on-site troubleshooting
  • Market Research and Strategy Execution: Conduct and evaluate market research, gather and process customer feedback, and leverage market trends and competitor data to shape product messaging and implement marketing programs.
  • Marketing Activities Management: Develop and manage marketing, advertising, trade show, and promotional activities in the US to achieve organizational objectives.


What You Will Do:


  • Market and Product Opportunities: Assess and quantify market and product opportunities, perform customer segmentation analyses, and lead the development and execution of the annual strategic plan.
  • Market Interpretation: Oversee the interpretation of the US market, competitors, lab guidelines, and clinical trends.
  • Demand Generation: Develop and manage marketing programs that drive demand for Grundium products in collaboration with field and distribution sales team.
  • Customer Engagement: Deliver effective technical demonstrations and training for new and existing customers on Grundium products.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest scientific uses of Grundium technology, including current and new products.
  • Pricing Strategy: Define pricing for the product portfolio within the US market.
  • Sales Collaboration: Work with sales leadership to ensure sales goals and objectives are met.
  • Tradeshow Leadership: Set and lead strategies for trade shows to enhance Grundium’s presence, branding, and lead generation.
  • Product Launches: Lead US product launches and champion strategies to ensure commercial success.
  • Industry Trend Monitoring: Monitor current and future industry trends to provide actionable insights to the sales force and management.
  • KOL Management: Manage Key Opinion Leaders to ensure early product adoption and drive sales revenue through publications and presentations.
  • Additional Initiatives: Lead and contribute to other initiatives and programs in Grundium’s fast-paced, high-growth environment.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Life Science or Marketing.
  • 10+ years relevant industry experience in sales, marketing, or product management
  • Strong technical and operational knowledge in digital pathology, including laboratory operations, information systems, image management software, and image analysis tools
  • Understanding of digital pathology workflows, whole slide imaging, and computational pathology
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for digital pathology IVD
  • Proven success in product or strategic marketing within clinical diagnostics, preferably pathology products
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Preferred: Sales experience in capital sales, life science research, or clinical diagnostics

The position will be remote; however, we prefer candidates based in the Central or Eastern US if possible.
