THE OPPORTUNITY - DIRECTOR OF MARKETING AND COMMUNCATIONS

This is a highly visible, high impact, senior leadership position where the successful candidate will have global stewardship responsibility for the marketing and communications function. Working closely with our VP and GM Engineered Compounds, this role requires the strong ability to innovate, strategize and execute all components necessary to scale our growth. We are looking for an ambitious, talented leader with an appetite to help execute strategy, attract growth opportunities, and ultimately support our ability to expand profits. Title: Director, Marketing and Communications

Reports To: VP and GM Americhem Engineered Products

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of a modern marketing function that utilizes new platforms, technologies, associated marketing themes and avenues of engagement to drive product/brand awareness, relevance, customer acquisition, loyalty, impact and ultimately business growth.
  • Development and execution of digital and content marketing strategies that drive customer acquisition and incremental sales growth. The role will work in close collaboration with commercial teams and other functional leaders to achieve its goals.
  • Leverage various marketing channels, Marketing Automation Platform, and CRM, to generate actionable leads for the sales team and measure overall effectiveness of campaigns.
  • Continuously monitor competitor, customer, and market trends to assist with the evolution of strategy and anticipate future opportunities.
  • Optimize Americhem website including developing new digital assets to strengthen Americhem brand and increase engagement and conversion within target segments
  • Initiate and drive internal activities to cultivate understanding of our value propositions for products and services.
  • Offer strategic counsel across the organization in defining and engaging targeted customer segments and determine the fundamental values that drive behavior.
  • Designs, delivers and communicates a comprehensive global communications strategy that supports strategic corporate objectives and appropriately informs internal and external stakeholders.
  • Partners with the executive team including the CEO and regional leaders, to proactively develop and deliver engaging communications to employees in all regions, cultures and languages that support key initiatives.
  • Creates and manages a cohesive and consistent communications approach across multiple channels that supports strategic objectives and aligns with Americhem’s brand.
  • Leads global crisis communications and media relations strategies.
  • Set key performance indicators and performance goals for the marketing function that drive strategic focus and provide management with a clear understanding of progress.
  • Manage the marketing budget, performance forecasting, monthly reporting, and ROI analysis.
  • Coach and develop team members, hire new high potential talent, set clear performance expectations, and provide regular feedback.
  • Oversee all new business presentations, board of directors presentations, and manage brand & communication protocols
  • Develop and implement multi-tactic, integrated marketing communication plans/programs and helps supervise tactical execution with internal resources or outside vendors. Ensures timely execution and return on investment.

Education And Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications or related field; MBA preferred with focus on digital marketing and branding.
  • At least 10 years’ relevant experience in B2B marketing, global marketing and communications. At least 5 years of digital and content marketing experience. Leadership.
  • Proven track record of leading marketing function to drive sales growth aligned to the overall strategic objectives of the business
  • Strong experience leveraging Marketing Automation and CRM platforms to manage customer relationships and coordinate with the Sales organization
  • Proven success building brand awareness, communications planning and driving new customer acquisition
  • Proven successful collaboration with creative leaders and complex creative teams.
  • Knows how to work with media experts with focus on digital and social media.
  • Effective written and verbal communications skills. Ability to format, write and deliver persuasive presentations, writen reports, and business correspondences. Ability to respond to questions from management, clients, vendors, media, and the general public in written or verbal format.
  • Strong analytical skills. Ability to interpret ongoing research and media reports, guide and partner with social media experts to inform communications recommendations.

  • Experience handling major corporate affairs, crisis management, internal communications, and media relations

  • Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) and building content strategy
  • Strong team management and communication (written and verbal) skills
