Director of Manufacturing

EMIT Technologies, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Director of Manufacturing to oversee our manufacturing facility in Sheridan, WY. This leadership role is responsible for managing all aspects of manufacturing, including planning, production, quality control, safety and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will ensure that products are delivered to our customers on time, within budget, and at an exceptional level of quality. The position will oversee five direct reports, with one of the positions currently unfilled. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a desire to win through the results of their team, and have experience developing and mentoring managers. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Oversee the day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure efficient and effective production processes. 
• Develop and implement effective production schedules through existing software to meet customer demands while optimizing resources and minimizing costs. 
• Maintain high standards of quality assurance to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations. 
• Promote a culture of safety within the plant, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and fostering a safe working environment. 
• Lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste and improve product quality. 
• Manage, develop and mentor a management team of a minimum of four direct reports, overseeing nearly 100 frontline employees. 
• Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering products on time and to the required quality standards. 
• Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational performance and identify areas for improvement. 

Qualifications: 

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role. 
• Proven ability to lead and develop a team, with strong mentoring and coaching skills. 
• Demonstrated track record of achieving operational goals and driving continuous improvement initiatives. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on developing innovative solutions. 
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
• Proficient in the use of manufacturing software and tools, with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and best practices.
