Job Title: Investment Director

Madison Hunt is partnered with a MegaFund-backed specialty finance platform that provides capital to the renewable energy sector in exchange for royalties from renewable energy generating facilities at all stages of their life cycle.

Having committed nearly $500 million in royalty financing to the renewable energy sector and establishing royalty agreements on over 30 projects, our client presents an attractive alternative to traditional equity and debt financing. While common in other sectors, royalty financing is a unique investment method within the renewables space and guarantees returns regardless of external influences.

Responsibilities

• The Director of Execution will play an integral role in deploying the Firm's investor capital across a diversified opportunity set of renewable royalty investments
• Primary responsibility will include managing the day-to-day execution of the Firm's investments, including financial modeling, due diligence, and market research in support of investments and investment strategy
• This role will also span the Business Development function, with the expectation that the candidate will be able to leverage and grow their industry relationships to support business development, attend industry conferences and managing investment/partner relationships
• Candidate may be asked to support internal strategic initiatives (capital raising, reporting) and management of existing investments
• Clear promotion path to Managing Director within a rapidly growing investment platform
• This role will report to the Chief Commercial Officer

Qualifications

• Experience in the Renewable Energy Industry, Utilities Sector or Banking
• Proven track record of working well within a lean team environment, taking ownership of processes and procedures
• Ideal candidates will have previously had direct reports supporting them on deal execution
• Demonstrated financial acumen and experience developing and building financial models using Microsoft Excel
• Creative, critical thinking ability, with strong interesting in developing new investment strategies or financial structures to solve complex problems
• Excellent interpersonal skills, highly motivated and results oriented, with strong organization / communication
• Attention to detail and the ability to set and meet realistic deadlines in a fast-paced environment
