Director of Inventory Management

Title: Director of Inventory Management

Duration: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Location: Schaumburg, IL (Fully Onsite)

Compensation: $100,000 - $105,000 + Benefits

Responsibilities:

• Manage warehouse team and ensure compliance with all warehouse processes and procedures.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of all inventory transactions.
• Manage inventory database, including the receipt, recording, and delivery of all purchased materials.
• Work closely with the operations for placing orders and the accounting for budget.
• Ensure all warehousing and inventory control objectives are met, including inventory turn ratios, on-hand accuracy, lowering inventory valuation, and management of obsolete inventory.
• Manage and serve as the company liaison with freight companies and carriers.
• Manage the warehouse team and their workload by prioritizing and delegating work assignments and monitoring productivity and work quality.
• Utilize system reports to support optimum stock level.
• Provide a monthly inventory report for management.
• Assure cycle counts are completed timely and accurately and conduct monthly physical inventory.
• Ensure complete accuracy with all shipments to clients.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of Warehouse, Inventory Control, Materials and/or Field Distribution experience.
• Must have a passion for leadership and management with the ability to lead by example.
• Ability to work with vendors while monitoring both domestic and international shipping costs.
• Proactive critical thinking skills with the ability to monitor and forecast inventory.
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills with the ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Ability to work independently, troubleshoot, perform corrective procedures, and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Solid organizational and logistics skills.
