We're seeking a visionary leader to guide our client's data center, network, and infrastructure operations.

You'll provide strategic direction and ensure smooth operation of both on-premises and cloud-based systems, including cloud computing, hardware, software, data storage, networks, telephony, and databases.

As a key member of the IT leadership team, you'll manage and support a local IT team, collaborate with internal clients, and oversee the team's budget and operations plan.

What You'll Do:

• Collaborate with executives to develop and execute critical IT initiatives.
• Build strong partnerships with vendors to acquire technology, plan strategically, and recommend architecture solutions.
• Negotiate and manage service provider contracts to ensure service level agreements are met.
• Implement best practices for infrastructure services, including methodologies, service management processes, and operational support.
• Proactively monitor infrastructure and services, promptly resolving any issues to ensure continuous operation.
• Manage infrastructure projects, budgets, and plans to align with the organization's strategic direction, fostering a high-performing team and mitigating risks.
• Optimize spending by implementing cost-saving solutions and create budgets for innovative solutions.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to your team members.
• Coordinate infrastructure changes and outages with other Technology Services directors.
• Communicate effectively with faculty, staff, and students, both orally and in writing.
• Lead Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning efforts.
• Maintain confidentiality and provide weekly status reports to the Chief Information Officer.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field (Master's degree preferred).
• 5+ years of experience as a Director/Manager overseeing a Network/Infrastructure team.
• 10+ years of experience in a Networking/Infrastructure role.
• Experience in higher education IT (a plus).
• Knowledge of database technologies (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, SQL) and server/storage technologies and operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux) is a plus.
