The Director of IT leads and manages the company's information technology operations, ensuring the development and implementation of efficient and secure IT systems. This role is critical in supporting the company’s strategic goals through the integration of technology in business processes. The Director of IT position requires a strong background in IT management, strategic planning, and team leadership, with a keen ability to align technology initiatives with business objectives.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement IT strategies that align with the company’s business objectives and growth plans.
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and security systems.
Lead and manage the IT department, including hiring, training, and performance management of IT staff.
Ensure the security, integrity, and availability of data and IT services through effective cybersecurity measures and disaster recovery planning.
Collaborate with other departments to identify technology needs and solutions to improve business processes and productivity.
Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, and contracts to ensure cost-effective solutions and quality service delivery.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends to drive innovation and efficiency within the company.
Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Provide technical guidance and support to employees, ensuring timely resolution of IT-related issues.
Prepare and present reports on IT performance, projects, and strategic initiatives to senior management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
A minimum of 10 years of experience in IT management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
Strong background in Microsoft software stack including ERP and CRM applications with solid experience across industry leading business software platforms
Experience leading technology projects including ERP and other business systems
Proven experience in strategic planning and execution of IT initiatives
Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and best practices
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Proficient in budgeting and resource allocation
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in the food industry or a similar fast-paced environment is a plus
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, PMP) are highly desirable
