History
LIV Golf launched in 2022 as an eight-event ‘Invitational Series.’ 2023 saw the inaugural LIV Golf League host 14 events around the world, from Adelaide to Chicago, Andalucía to Singapore, as well as launch the game’s first Team franchises, captained by some of golf’s most decorated superstars.
The format, respecting the history and traditions of the game, has been optimized for modern day sports fans; 3-days, 54 holes, no cut, shotgun start, offering a faster pace-of play to drive engaging storylines and offer an immersive fan experience.
The events, each wholly owned and operated by LIV Golf and broadcast around the world to over 300million homes, deliver a family-friendly environment, festival-style atmosphere, evening concert entertainment and world-class competition; a combination that is unique to the world of golf.
In 2024, LIV Golf will further expand the reach of the League, splitting the schedule between some of the most iconic venues across Asia, Europe and the Middle East with decorated venues in the US. The full player pathway, created in partnership with the Asian Tour, also launches, with the game’s first ever player Promotion and Relegation, and Player Transfer Window, as the holistic integration of LIV Golf is fully delivered.

Role Objective
Reporting to Head of Product & Technology, the Director Information Technology is a both a strategic and tactical role responsible for overall direction, management, implementation, and maintenance of information technology and information systems.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement corporate information technology strategies aligned with overall business objectives, including business continuity planning and disaster recovery
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure across offices, including networks, servers, and systems. Ensure the availability, security, and scalability of IT systems – work closely with Event Technology Manager to ensure continuity between corporate IT and event IT
Build and manage a high performing IT team to manage business systems and IT helpdesk and support
Manage IT budget, including staff, corporate technology applications/platforms/tools, and hardware
Assess and evaluate new technologies that can enhance business processes and improve efficiency, work across business units to ensure that Technology requirements are met during procurement processes
Maintain and manage all organization-owned hardware
Own delivery, deployment, and maintenance of business systems applications and integrations including management of third-party partners
With VP, Cybersecurity, identify and mitigate issues and risks
Experience
7 or more years of progressive leadership experience
Experience with one or more business application suites
A minimum of 15 years’ experience in information technology related role, relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, PMP) is a plus
Required Skills
Proven track record of large-scale IT deployments across multiple offices and time zones on time and on budget
Strong management skills, hands-on approach and straightforward communication
Ability to manage up and down
Excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication
