Kode Health is a Series B healthtech company looking to change the way coding is done- building a marketplace to connect healthcare companies with certified medical coders in a gig environment. The Product
Our KODE on-demand product allows certified medical coders to code from the convenience of their homes, picking the hours that they want, and getting paid as early as next day. Our platform strives to reward medical coders by offering flexibility in both how they work and how they are compensated.
We currently support approximately 5000 US-based platform coders and over 30 healthcare facilities.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for an experienced Information Security professional who is customer- obsessed, passionate about creative solutions and highly collaborative. This leader will play a crucial role in safeguarding our organization’s sensitive information, data, and systems from potential threats and vulnerabilities.
You’re have 5+ years experience leading key security initiatives and establishing best practices in a cloud first environment.
You have knowledge of and experience with modern security architectures (SIEM, XDR, MDR, WAFs, log aggregation and telemetry, etc.)
You thrive in a player coach role- initially both building and executing procedures yourself while preparing to expand your team in the near future.
You take a pragmatic approach to program building, prioritizing key risk mitigation initiatives while balancing resource availability and cost constraints
You communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders and feel comfortable influencing without authority
Experience in the healthcare environment and growth stage startups are preferred.
Your Job
In this role, you will:
Develop, implement and oversee the organization’s comprehensive policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations (HIPAA, HITRUST CSF)
Act as a first responder for security incidents in conjunction with managed vendor teams, evaluating impact and executing mitigation strategies as required
Respond to partner security evaluations and negotiate remediations as needed with client security partners
Evaluate and implement security solutions
Foster a culture of security awareness & compliance across the organization
Advise and support application engineering in their pursuit of secure SDLC
