The Arc Mercer is seeking a strategic and experienced Director of HRIS Systems and Management Operations who enjoys being hands on to lead and manage our HR operations functions. The Director of HRIS Systems and Management Operations will be pivotal in deploying our HR Information System (HRIS), managing employee benefits, handling employee relations, developing and enforcing HR policies, and overseeing insurance programs. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a deep understanding of HR best practices compliance issues and have a passion for enhancing the employee experience.
What We Need
HRIS Deployment and Management:
Lead the deployment, integration, and ongoing management of the HR Information System.
Experience with Paycom HRIS software
Ensure the HRIS supports all HR functions and provides accurate and timely data for decision-making.
Train HR staff and end-users on HRIS functionalities and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
Benefits Administration
Oversee the design, implementation, and administration of employee benefits programs.
Regularly review and analyze the effectiveness of current benefits and make recommendations for improvement.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local benefits regulations.
Employee Relations
Develop and maintain positive employee relations strategies to foster a supportive work environment.
Address and resolve employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances in a timely and effective manner.
Provide guidance and support to managers on employee relations issues.
Insurance Management
Oversee the administration of Agency insurance programs, including health, life, disability, and other related insurance.
Work with brokers and insurers to ensure competitive and comprehensive coverage for employees.
Manage annual renewals and negotiate terms to optimize coverage and costs.
What You Need
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven experience in HRIS deployment and management.
Extensive knowledge of employee benefits, HR policies, employee relations, insurance programs, and employer compliance.
Strong understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
HR Certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is a plus.
