We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Human Resources to join our team in Plano, Texas. This hands-on role is pivotal in managing the full spectrum of human resources and administration functions for a company with fewer than 100 employees. The successful candidate will liaise with senior management in strategic decision-making and operations, demonstrating strong skills in areas such as legal and compliance.


Responsibilities:

  • HR Management: Oversee all HR functions, including recruitment, employee training, and handling sensitive internal HR issues.
  • Policy Development: Update and maintain required HR materials, including handbooks, policies, and procedures.
  • Compliance: Review all legal agreements to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Training: Ensure the company adheres to the Parent Company’s compliance programs and provide necessary training to employees.
  • Risk Management: Participate in risk management reviews and coordinate resolution of issues with the parent company’s insurance department and insurance broker.
  • Insurance Claims: Participate in insurance claims activity, including reporting to senior management and creating policy and procedures.
  • HR Software: Utilize Ceridian software for HR functions, ensuring effective and efficient use.
  • Benefits and Compensation: Administer employee benefits and compensation packages.
  • Legal Compliance: Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and laws.
  • Employee Relations: Handle employee relations issues, providing necessary support and advice to employees and management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree highly preferred
  • Proven experience in a senior HR role, preferably as a Director of HR.
  • Strong knowledge of HR functions, including recruitment, training, compliance, and employee relations.
  • Experience with Ceridian software or similar HR management systems.
  • Excellent understanding of legal compliance and risk management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and professionalism.
  • Ability to thrive in a hands-on role within a smaller company environment.
