Ideal candidates have a genuine passion for property management and leadership. As Director of Golf, you will be responsible for directing and overseeing all aspects of the club and facility, including its activities and relationships between guests, associates, and community. This position has the ultimate responsibility for maximum guest satisfaction and financial performance for properties with revenues of $1 million. Previous supervisory experience is a requirement for the position.

Ideal candidates have flexible schedules with availability to work weekends and holidays, as needed. This includes competitive compensation starting at $50,000 and a generous benefits package.

Responsibilities

  • Executes and monitors annual budget, revenue goals and expenses as well as generating various weekly, monthly, etc.) business volume forecasts
  • Monitors monthly and other financial reports/statements on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis for the facility and takes effective corrective action when necessary
  • Establishes basic personnel policy, initiates, and monitors policies relating to personnel actions and training along with professional development programs
  • Ensures all Human Resources procedures and policies are followed by management staff
  • Develops, maintains, and administers a sound Department plan and initiates improvements as necessary
  • Attends workshops and meetings to keep abreast of current information and developments
  • Assists with the care and maintenance of all the facility’s physical assets and each individual facility
  • Coordinates marketing programs to promote the facility’s services to potential customers
  • Ensures the highest standards for food and beverage service on property
  • Implements policies and procedures for two departments, including compliance of all company standards relating to quality of products and services
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates within the two departments of responsibility; addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • Directly manages associates that may include, but is not limited to: Golf and F&B operations
  • Assures that effective orientation and training are given to each new associate
  • Develops ongoing training programs
  • Regular and reliable attendance

Education And Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA); or previous club management related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • CMAAA member, GCSSA or PGA/LPGA membership preferred
  • Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

  • Regularly uses hands to finger, feel or handle, reaches with arms and hands, talks, or hears
  • Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds
