Role Overview
As the Director of Global Sourcing and Costing, you will play a pivotal role in our company's success by developing strategic sourcing initiatives that drive efficiency and savings. Collaborating closely with our Product Development Team and Brand Managers, you'll ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement sourcing strategies for product categories and programs in alignment with company objectives.
Identify and establish relationships with global vendors and agents to optimize production efficiency and expand sourcing options.
Coordinate the request for quotes process, evaluate supplier proposals, and negotiate favorable terms to achieve cost, quality, and delivery targets.
Monitor production processes to uphold quality standards and ensure on-time delivery of products.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to educate and implement sourcing policies and best practices.
Analyze market trends and implement continuous improvements in sourcing processes to enhance overall business performance.
Travel globally, predominantly in Asia, to build and maintain supplier relationships and oversee production processes.
Requirements
Minimum of 8 years of experience in merchandising with a focus on global sourcing and product development.
Proven track record in negotiating and managing supplier relationships to achieve cost savings and quality improvements.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in MS Office; experience with business intelligence software a plus.
Excellent communication and organizational abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
