General Summary
As the Director of Global Sourcing and Costing, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our product strategy by developing innovative sourcing strategies. Collaborating closely with our Product Development Team and Brand Managers, you'll drive initiatives that align with our company's vision and growth objectives.
Duties And Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing: Develop comprehensive sourcing strategies for categories, programs, and individual items that support our brand goals.
Supplier Relationships: Cultivate and maintain relationships with domestic and international agents and vendors to enhance efficiencies and explore new sourcing opportunities.
Production Oversight: Ensure quality and cost-effectiveness by selecting and managing approved factories for production, negotiating contracts, and monitoring production timelines.
Cost Management: Analyze landed costs, track savings, and negotiate production costs to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.
Process Improvement: Implement initiatives to enhance sourcing processes and educate teams on sourcing policies and procedures.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including Product Development, Merchandising, and Operations to address sourcing challenges and optimize supply chain performance.
Quality Assurance: Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure products meet our high standards and regulatory requirements.

Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with internal teams and external partners.
Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills to evaluate supplier proposals and optimize sourcing decisions.
Project Management: Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage project timelines effectively.
Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail and accuracy in managing sourcing activities and contracts.
Problem-Solving: Proactive troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to address sourcing issues and drive continuous improvement.
Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office suite and familiarity with business intelligence software.
Education And Experience
Experience: Minimum of 8 years of merchandising experience with a focus on global sourcing and production.
Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Language Skills: Proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
Working Conditions
Normal office environment with occasional travel required, predominantly in Asia, for supplier visits and negotiations.
