Role Summary

The Director of Fulfillment at URBN plays a pivotal role in leading and enhancing the creation, refinement, and expansion of exceptional product experiences for our rapidly growing business. This key leadership position defines and executes the product vision and strategy across diverse platforms, channels, and global markets, elevating service standards within our expansive fulfillment network.

Role Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee daily operations of Fulfillment Center and Distribution Center.
• Maintain operational expenses within budgeted parameters, ensuring fiscal responsibility.
• Collaborate in strategic planning to align with brand and company forecasts and initiatives.
• Engage in proactive dialogue with senior management to address strategic objectives effectively.
• Identify opportunities and implement enhancements to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the fulfillment network.
• Ensure adherence to service level agreements with brands, consistently delivering exceptional service.
• Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing management and supervisory team.
• Foster a culture of professional growth, collaboration, and operational excellence.
• Champion the advancement of a scalable Global Logistics enterprise, promoting best practices and talent development.
• Forge partnerships with community leaders, educational institutions, and logistics peers to stay abreast of industry trends and the employment landscape.
• Drive programs aimed at optimizing fulfillment network and operational processes.
• Implement strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service delivery
  
  

Role Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• Strong track record in leading start-up and established supply chain operations, with a focus on fulfillment.
• Experience in retail and/or third-party logistics preferred.
• Skilled in developing and managing operations managers to achieve operational goals.
• Proven ability to cultivate and maintain effective relationships with brand partners and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in budget management and financial oversight; managing a Profit & Loss (P&L) statement within a fulfillment context.
• Track record of successfully leading teams through change and driving project management initiatives.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
