Job Overview:

Cascada Spa and Hotel is a premier boutique luxury hotel and hydrothermal spa, offering luxurious accommodations and exceptional wellness experiences. Our LEED Platinum-certified complex emphasizes sustainability in all aspects of its operations. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Front Office to oversee all front desk operations, concierge services, and guest relations. This role is critical in ensuring the highest standards of guest service, efficiency, sustainability, and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Management:
    • Lead and supervise the front office team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and professional development.
  • Operations and Quality Control:
    • Ensure smooth and efficient check-in and check-out processes.
    • Implement and monitor front office procedures, schedules, and checklists to maintain consistency and efficiency.
    • Conduct regular inspections of the front desk and lobby areas to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and adherence to hotel standards.
    • Collaborate with Director of Wellness, Director of Housekeeping, Director of Facilities, Director of Food & Beverage,and Managing Director to ensure successful cross-departmental functionality, communication, and the best possible guest experience.
  • Guest Relations:
    • Utilize technology and training to address and resolve guest complaints and requests promptly and effectively.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with guests, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience and address any front office-related issues.
  • Inventory and Budget Management:
    • Perform Revenue Management duties, as assigned, to ensure the highest and best use of all spaces to maximize revenue and complex profit.
    • Manage the inventory of front office supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.
    • Develop and manage the front office budget, controlling costs while maintaining quality standards.
  • Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security standards and regulations.
    • Train staff on proper procedures, equipment use, and safety protocols.
  • Sustainability:
    • Implement and promote eco-friendly practices within the front office department.
    • Identify opportunities for waste reduction and energy conservation.
    • Uphold the hotel’s LEED Platinum certification standards in all front office operations.
Requirements

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of front office experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
    • Experience in a luxury hotel, spa, or wellness-focused property is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
    • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in front office management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Education:
    • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
    • A degree in hospitality management or a related field is preferred.
Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

Working Conditions

  • Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
