Director of Financial Reporting/Corporate Accounting

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Financial Reporting & Corporate Accounting to join our client. This role is pivotal in managing the financial reporting and corporate accounting functions, overseeing a large team, and ensuring compliance with external reporting requirements for a public company. The company offers a competitive compensation plan that includes equity and allows for working from home twice a week and a 9/80. Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the financial reporting and corporate accounting departments, managing day-to-day activities and supervising a large team.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation and review of financial statements, variance analysis, and related schedules; lead monthly and quarterly financial review meetings with senior management.
• Oversee the preparation and review of quarterly 10-Q and annual 10-K filings, including footnotes, schedules, and relevant disclosures.
• Coordinate and manage the external reporting process, including compliance filings, quarterly earnings releases, investor presentations, and earnings call scripts.
• Collaborate with independent auditors to facilitate quarterly reviews and the annual audit, ensuring compliance with GAAP, SEC guidelines, and SOX controls.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA required.
• 12+ years of experience in financial reporting and corporate accounting, with significant experience in a public company environment.
• Proven management experience, with the ability to lead and mentor a large team.
• Strong technical accounting skills, including experience with ASC 606 and ASC 842, and a solid understanding of GAAP and SEC guidelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present and communicate with the executive team.
