Location: Remote role but candidate must sit in Nashville.

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Financial Reporting to join our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the CAO, the Director of Financial Reporting will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial reporting within the healthcare industry and demonstrate exceptional leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation and filing of accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP and SEC regulations.
• Manage the financial reporting team to ensure efficient and effective operations, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and professional development.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including accounting, tax, legal, and operational teams, to gather necessary information for financial reporting and analysis.
• Lead the implementation and maintenance of financial reporting systems and processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and ensure timely implementation and communication of updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate and liaise with external auditors and regulatory agencies during financial audits and examinations to ensure compliance and resolve any issues or concerns.
• Provide strategic insights and analysis to senior management and the Board of Directors on financial performance, trends, and forecasts to support decision-making and business planning initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification required.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in financial reporting, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Strong technical knowledge of GAAP, SEC regulations, and financial reporting requirements for healthcare companies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
• Proven track record of managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact confidently with senior executives, auditors, and regulators.
