Director of Finance (DoF)
ROLE:
This role is with a portfolio company Acquisition.com. They are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Director of Finance to play a pivotal role in leading our finance team. This hands-on position involves direct oversight of financial planning, budget management, and ensuring regulatory compliance. This remote role offers a unique opportunity to directly report to executive leadership, allowing you to significantly impact and shape the financial strategies that drive our company's success.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the finance team with a hands-on approach, ensuring that strategic financial goals are met. Develop and implement robust financial strategies aligned with the company's objectives.
- Oversee the financial planning process, including budget creation, forecasting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Coordinate with auditors, maintain relationships with creditors and regulators, and ensure compliance.
- Supervise payroll processing for accuracy and compliance, staying updated on labor law changes.
- Review and approve payable transactions, implement vendor relationship controls, and optimize payment terms.
- Develop robust internal controls, regularly assess and update procedures, and conduct internal audits.
- Collaborate on tax planning, ensure compliance with regulations, and optimize the company's tax position.
- Analyze processes for efficiency improvements and collaborate on cost-saving initiatives.
- Streamline financial systems for efficient reporting, collaborating with IT and operations teams.
- Lead budgeting, collaborate with department heads, and develop forecasts based on industry trends.
- Ensure the company adheres to all financial regulations and compliance requirements, mitigating risks and maintaining integrity.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Stay informed on industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes, pursuing ongoing professional development opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required
- CPA certification is required
- Minimum of +8 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles.
- Experience building financial statements
- Experience managing third-party financial & tax relationships
- Proven experience leading a financial process for $+100MM company
- Comprehensive understanding of financial regulations, accounting principles, and best practices in financial management.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience implementing and using ERP systems, such as NetSuite, Sage or similar platforms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills for internal and external interactions.
- Preferred Experience in SaaS or businesses with Recurring Revenue.
- Preferred Experience with payroll software, such as Rippling, Bamboo, or similar platforms.
- Preferred Familiarity with expense management tools like Expensify, Bill.com, or similar products.
SALARY:
- $190,000 to $230,000
