Responsibilities:

  • Direct supervision of Distribution Center managers to support execution of operational targets, optimization of safety and efficiency, project support, accuracy, and consistency across the network.
  • In collaboration with Supply Chain Director and team, RBOMs, and branch stakeholders, maximize Distribution Center service levels, measured by order line On Time In Full (OTIF) and inventory efficiency.
  • Review recommendations for both Capital and Operational expense investments to drive cost savings and improvements in safety and efficiency; work with DC Managers to finalize submittals for recommended investments and execute the implementation of approved spend.
  • Ensure that customer-facing project requirements are appropriately led, staffed, and managed on an ongoing basis to include close collaboration between sales and operational teams to drive consistent and accurate execution.
  • Take an active leadership role in projects related to the Distribution Center network, including expansion of the network via new DC or Hub locations, software or hardware system implementations, or other significant efforts involving the network.
  • Conduct regular reviews of Distribution Center staffing and efficiency to ensure service level and team effectiveness are maximized.
  • Ensure that Distribution Center teams are conducting required operational tasks at appropriate intervals, including reviews of transaction reports for resolution, cycle counts and inventory adjustments, freight cost optimization and recovery, and facility reviews.



Requirements

  • 4 + years of Distribution Center leadership experience, specifically including leadership of multiple facilities; experience in a wholesale distribution environment strongly preferred, ideally in a hub-and-spoke distribution network.
  • Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one to two years of related warehouse management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Forklift driving experience is preferred.
