Position Summary:

This role will be responsible for leading and executing Giving Compass’s fundraising and partnership strategies, with a particular focus on our capital campaign, small-dollar donations, sponsorships, and strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing comprehensive fundraising programs, developing partnerships, excellent communication skills, and a passion for our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

Capital Campaign Management:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for the capital campaign.
  • Identify, cultivate, and solicit major donors for the capital campaign.
  • Work closely with the CEO and board members to align fundraising efforts with organizational goals.


Small Dollar Donations:

  • Design and execute strategies to increase small-dollar donations from everyday donors.
  • Utilize digital platforms and social media to engage a broader audience and encourage grassroots support.
  • Monitor and analyze donor engagement metrics to refine approaches and increase donor retention.


Sponsorships Campaign:

  • Develop and manage a sponsorship program to secure corporate and individual sponsorships.
  • Create compelling sponsorship packages and proposals that align with sponsor interests and organizational needs.
  • Maintain strong relationships with sponsors to ensure ongoing support and engagement.


Donor Relations and Stewardship:

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors.
  • Implement donor recognition and stewardship programs to ensure a high level of donor satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Organize donor appreciation events and communications.


Fundraising Operations:

  • Oversee the development and implementation of fundraising materials, including case statements, brochures, and presentations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant fundraising regulations and ethical standards.
  • Manage fundraising budgets and provide regular reports on fundraising activities and outcomes.


Partnership Development:

  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with corporations, foundations, and other organizations to support Giving Compass's mission and initiatives.
  • Develop and negotiate partnership agreements that align with organizational goals and provide mutual benefits.
  • Foster long-term relationships with partners to ensure ongoing collaboration and support.
  • Explore opportunities for collaborative projects and initiatives that enhance the impact of Giving Compass.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business, Communications, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising and partnership development, with a focus on capital campaigns, small-dollar donations, and sponsorships.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving fundraising goals and securing major gifts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in fundraising software and donor management systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and build lasting relationships.
  • Passion for the mission of Giving Compass and a commitment to promoting effective philanthropy.
