About The Role

Position Overview
As the Director of Fundraising, you will play a crucial role in shaping and executing our fundraising strategy. Your efforts will support our innovative programs and services aimed at preventing, detecting early, and treating corneal injuries and blindness globally.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising Strategy: Develop and implement an annual plan to meet fundraising goals, starting with $1.5 million in year one, with plans for sustainable growth.
Donor Engagement: Cultivate and maintain relationships with corporate sponsors, foundations, and high-net-worth individuals. Develop strategies to solicit and steward donors effectively.
Grant Writing: Prepare compelling grant proposals and reports to secure funding from diverse sources, including corporations, foundations, and government entities.
Leadership: Provide leadership to the fundraising team, contractors, and volunteers. Collaborate with the CEO and board to enhance fundraising strategies.
Marketing and Outreach: Coordinate marketing efforts to support fundraising initiatives, including traditional and digital media.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 10 years in nonprofit fundraising, with a proven track record of securing major gifts. Experience in managing 100+ donors and developing comprehensive fundraising plans is essential.
Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly. Proficiency in CRM systems and fundraising technologies is preferred.
Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
