Overview

Our mission is to empower female entrepreneurs and business professionals by creating a platform for women to come together, share their stories, and learn from each other's experiences to help close the gender gap and promote positive change in the business world.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Development to join our team. This role will be responsible for driving fundraising efforts through sponsorships, memberships, and outreach while overseeing and coordinating all events in New York and Miami. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, a proven track record in event planning or coordination, and a strong background in fundraising.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute fundraising strategies to secure sponsorships, memberships, and donations to support Women's Power Series initiatives
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage all events in New York City and Miami, ensuring seamless execution and attendee experience
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with sponsors, donors, and members to maximize fundraising opportunities with outreach and engagement
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align event strategies with organizational goals and objectives
  • Track and report on fundraising activities, event performance, and financial outcomes to stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Business, Nonprofit Management, Event Planning, etc.).
  • 5+ years of experience in fundraising, sponsorships, and event coordination within the nonprofit sector or related industry
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and other fundraising software/tools
