Director of Content Sales and Partnerships

FilmRise, an industry leading streaming company is looking to hire a Director, Sales & Content Partnerships. This is a Sales position. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in a similar role. The person in this role will report to the VP of Digital Distribution.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Guide the growth of assigned AVOD accounts.
• Manage client relationships by proactively pitching content.
• Utilize the rights database to track content availabilities, partner selections and deliveries.
• Develop partnerships via regular calls and in-person meetings.
• Grow FilmRise’s footprint on assigned partner platforms.
• Work with tech ops to ensure complete and timely delivery of material to partners.
• Track availabilities from request to live status.
• Monitor key performance metrics and incorporate findings into sales strategies and implementing those strategies to foster long-term account growth.

Key expectations of the role:

• Forge strong internal relationships across various departments (e.g. legal, finance, delivery, rights, marketing & acquisitions) to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives.
• Become an authority on assigned accounts and the AVOD space, relaying key observations to the leadership team regularly.
• Participate in regular programming discussions (e.g. sales pitches, marketing stunts).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of related experience preferred.
• Highly proficient in MS Office, advanced Excel skills required. Proven administrative experience.
• Detailed understanding of core distribution rights including but not limited to PTV, BCTV, FTV, SVOD, AVOD & FAST.
• Basic data analysis experience a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently, with a team, as well with external partners.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills – must be meticulous and well organized.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A self-starter, driven, efficient, curious, and resourceful with the ability to solve issues independently when necessary.
