Position Overview: Sendero Energy Services is looking for an experienced and dynamic Director of Construction to manage and oversee construction projects across Texas. The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction management within the energy sector, demonstrating exceptional leadership and project management skills to ensure the successful completion of projects while maintaining safety, quality, and budgetary standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategically plan, organize, and execute construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, budgets, and timelines, closely monitoring progress and making necessary adjustments to achieve project objectives.
- Provide effective leadership and supervision to project managers, safety managers, engineers, and construction teams.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental guidelines.
- Foster clear and proactive communication with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure project requirements are met or exceeded.
- Provide regular and comprehensive reporting on project progress, risks, and opportunities to relevant stakeholders.
- Efficiently manage project change orders and scope changes, ensuring proper documentation, approvals, and communication.
- Proactively identify and address any issues or conflicts during construction, employing effective problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure adherence to plans and safety protocols.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct in all interactions and activities related to the project.
- Travel to job sites statewide as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management within the energy sector, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience managing large-scale renewable energy projects (solar, wind, BESS).
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Must have experience in utility-scale renewable energy construction projects.
- Detail-oriented and results-driven mindset, consistently striving for excellence in project management practices.
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and proactively address challenges, demonstrating problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
- Uphold high professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct in all job-related activities.

- Phone Allowance: Monthly phone allowance of $75.00.
- Company-Sponsored Trips: Opportunities to participate in company-sponsored trips.
Salary Range: $120,000-$150,000
