Mayfair is hiring a Director of Compliance to help us ensure security and confidentiality in our operations. You'll help guarantee compliance with all relevant legal requirements as we expand into new countries and partner with a variety of platforms to bring value to customers. The ideal candidate is precise, analytical, and detail-obsessed when it comes to reviewing government sources, building internal best practices, and monitoring our organization's adherence to them.
Your responsibilities will include:
Evaluating government requirements and assessing changes or additions to them in countries in which we operate
Creating and maintaining internal governing documents for compliance with various security auditing measures, including SOC 2, ISO 27001:2022, and GDPR
Maintaining and updating training materials to reinforce teammates's adherence to governing requirements and internal procedures
Implementing and administering the system(s) necessary to measure performance against requirements
Establishing and monitoring performance metrics and/or Key Risk Indicators ("KRIs") for potential risks or issues, performing further analysis or testing as needed
Escalating and monitoring status of issues, as identified
Actively investigating and implementing tools that would make compliance easier/more streamlined within our organization
Working closely with external partners to maintain compliance in specific countries or industries where 3rd-party expertise is required
You may be a good fit if you:
Have 5+ years of industry experience in banking or financial products
Have proficient experience implementing security measures in banking or financial organizations
Have a strong product sense
Have a good understanding of how much process is the right amount, and a deep conviction to automate everything and anything
Have a tendency to look at things and see how they can be done better. You're the sort who obsessively keeps digging until you find the best way to do something, not just the good enough way
Have exceptional organizational skills, including organizing and directing your team, and prioritizing resource allocation
Have a reputation as the most organized and detail-oriented person in your peer group
Have a fantastic communication skills: concise and precise, with the ability to put yourself in the other person's shoes and realize how you need to explain a concept for it to make sense to that person
