Who Are We Looking For?
As a Communications Director, you will lead integrated communications across external, internal and social for Nasdaq’s Corporate Platforms business, which is comprised of Listing Services (supporting companies transitioning from private to the public markets) and Corporate Solutions (our suite of solutions geared for corporates that are focused on ESG, Corporate Governance and Investor Relations).
Your role will be to develop and execute high-impact and measurable integrated communications campaigns and initiatives that advance and protect Nasdaq’s brand, elevate its leadership, and that support key business and commercial objectives while driving a cohesive story bringing together Nasdaq’s Listings and Corporate Solutions businesses.
The role demands an expert communicator and storyteller with a strong background in traditional media relations and communications combined with expertise in digital and social media.
Core responsibilities will include ensuring optimal outcomes for our publicly listed companies on their listing day, while driving a more integrated go-to-market and positioning platform for Nasdaq’s Corporate Platforms business and its leadership.
The right candidate will bring an entrepreneurial attitude to the role, must be adept at working with high profile clients and media, and with a particularly successful track record in media relations across broadcast, print, and online as well strong capabilities across digital and social media storytelling and audience building. This individual must be a natural, collaborative leader, and partner to the business with excellent writing, communication, presentation and relationship management skills. You will report to the Associate Vice President of Corporate Communications for Nasdaq’s Capital Access Platforms division and will manage and develop a small team of external and social communications professionals based in New York.

The base pay range for this role is $118,400 - $197,300. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. Your Role And Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary communications lead for Nasdaq’s Corporate Platforms business
- Develop, execute integrated communications strategies to showcase Nasdaq’s ecosystem story
- Develop and execute strategies designed to grow and nurture audiences across traditional and digital media platforms, driving engagement, visibility, and overall reputation metrics
- Work closely with senior management to keep abreast of company developments and trends
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, marketing and social teams as well as external clients
- Build and maintain relationships with key media outlets and journalists covering our space
- Oversee crisis and issues management
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public affairs, journalism, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in Corporate Communications with demonstrable expertise in key areas such as IPOs, ESG, Corporate Governance, IR and financial media
- Strong and demonstrable experience across traditional media relations as well as digital and social media platforms
- Excellent communication, presentation, relationship management, and writing skills
- Proven record of managing multiple and diverse clients and multitasking campaigns
- Ability to pivot quickly to changing priorities, urgent leadership needs and brand challenges
- Self-starter with the confidence and ability to manage initiatives and come up with new ideas
- Experience at a public relations agency is a plus, but not a requirement
