SUMMARY:

The Director of Clinical Operations and Training will serve as the lead subject matter for clinical quality compliance, risk assurance, and clinical training for Aesthetic Partners, a rapidly growing, multi-state, multi-site organization. This will encompass frequent travel, overseeing all functional aspects of clinical operations by providing training for the clinical staff as well as clinical compliance and clinical risk mitigation initiatives at all Aesthetic Partner’s brands. This position will serve as a liaison between the Medical Directors, Corporate Executive team, and clinical staff to achieve the clinical outcomes that support the mission and vision. The Director actively supports and promotes the corporation’s values and will be under the direction of the Founders of the business.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Clinical quality oversight, compliance, and risk management
    • Develops and implements clinical programs, policies, initiatives, and improvement strategies to ensure consistency, in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and other governmental requirements
    • Directs efforts to ensure effective clinical quality programs and performance improvement implementation throughout the organization
    • Maintains awareness and educates team members regarding regulations, compliance, and policies of pending and or implemented changes
    • Provides leadership to engage performance for clinical improvement and service enhancements
    • Develops clinic assessments and identifies deficiencies as applicable in collaboration with operations and manages corrective action plans and guidance
    • Meets regularly with Practice Managers and Providers to encourage shared learning
    • Project manage multiple initiatives by defining the scope, risk identification, resource allocation, cost-benefit analysis, process flows, facilitation and other areas of expertise based on established project management techniques
    • Drives enterprise alignment, oversight tactics and best practices towards management of new programs


  • Clinical training and coaching
    • Develop training strategies for new locations and new services
    • Create and employ a robust training program for clinical staff
    • Train all new injectors on all of the following: Charting, Consenting, Consultation, Treatment Plan Development, Hands on Injecting of Botox, Filler, Kybella, QWO, Hylenex, PDO, and new procedures/services as it pertains to their department
    • Create and oversee development of training within our learning management system. Both video and other types.
    • Create training protocols and update existing protocols as needed


  • Clinic-to-business-liaison
    • Work with Founders to assess new technologies and procedures, and determine need for implementation across the platform
    • Attend industry conferences to maintain best-in-class clinical knowledge and quality
    • Assist in recruitment and assessment of new clinical providers
    • Act as liaison to provider communication and assist in developing appropriate quarterly and annual review processes
COMPETENCIES:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Active RN, APRN or PA license required
  • Experience as an Aesthetic injector 4+ years (Required)
  • 2+ years of experience with oversight of compliance and regulatory areas within a healthcare environment
  • Experience in Training on the above-mentioned treatments/services/protocols either through a previous/current “in house trainer position” or ideally with a product Manufacturer such as Allergan, Merz and or Galderma.
  • Proven project leadership and management skills
  • Simultaneous management of multiple tasks of varying complexity, without sacrificing quality of execution
  • Highly organized and skilled in verbal and written communication
  • Skilled and proficient with software, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Frequent traveling to Aesthetic Partner’s clinic locations across the country
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk
  • Occasional standing, walking, reaching, bending, stooping, lifting and carrying
  • Frequent use of computer, keyboard, copier, scanner, and phone
  • Frequent sitting, writing, typing, grasping, and speaking
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 15 pounds at times


WORKING CONDITIONS/ ENVIORNMENTAL EXPOSURE:

  • Environmentally controlled business office environment
  • Fast paced environment with occasional high-pressure situations
  • Frequent interactions with patients, team members, providers, and other members of the public
  • Environmental hazards such as chemicals, solvents, needles, needle containers, sharps, blood, body fluids, various infectious/communicable diseases, infectious medical waste, near moving mechanical parts.
  • Protective clothing/equipment may be necessary
