This position manages, coordinates, and monitors all claims involving company property, employees and injury claims that the company is liable for under current indemnity agreements. You will also manage all subrogation recovery, monitor and manage the claims third party administrator (TPA), as well as submit detailed reporting and analysis to RCX senior leadership and clients.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Responsible for reporting and management of liability claims including but not limited to liability investigation, liability analysis, cost containment, TPA management, attorney selection/performance, evaluations, negotiations, authorizations, and settlements.
Oversee workers compensation program and manages Texas Injury Plan. Authorize all payments for wage loss and medical benefits, direct and authorize medical case management activities.
Manage an aggressive Return to Work policy.
Administer OSHA reporting and compliance.
Manage the discovery process for all litigated claims.
Properly and timely respond to requests for defense and indemnification and other customer requests related to injury claims.
Compiles and reports statistical information monthly or as needed including costs, trends, and recommendations regarding monthly insurance reserves, claim status, high dollar claims, accidents and other metrics.
Manages relationships with third party service providers including but not limited to, brokers, insurers, Third Part Administrators, claims adjusters, and legal counsel.
Participate in annual insurance renewal providing feedback on renewal programs
Maintain exceptional leadership skills.
Manage claims administrator position.
Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all personnel, customers, vendors and other departments.
Maintain confidentiality of data and information accessed.
Educational And Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in Claims Management administration including auto and worker’s compensation
Experience In Transportation Industry Preferred
Experience with FELA claims preferred
Computer Skill Requirements
MS Office Products: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Excellent Excel skills to monitor and identify issue with large amounts of data
Experience with normal office equipment, for example, copier, printer, fax, phone, etc.
Physical Qualifications
Position requires extended periods of time sitting
Position requires extended periods of telephone and computer use
Successfully pass pre-employment reference and criminal history checks as required.
Submit to and receive negative drug and/or alcohol test.
On call to coordinate emergency response to employee injuries as needed.
Travel as necessary to claim related meetings including mediations and trials. Represent the company as needed in a professional and appropriate manner.

This position is typically a Monday through Friday day position but may require working hours on other days or times to provide support for immediate needs on claims or injuries or attend mediation or court. When not traveling, this position will report to the corporate office during the typical work week.
