Description

Our client in Oakland is seeking an interim Director of claims for a 3+ month engagement This role involves overseeing and improving the healthcare claims management processes and working closely with senior leadership. The position is expected to pay between $80-$90/hr. depending on consultant location.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire claims management process in the healthcare setting
  • Collaborate directly with the CFO and other senior leaders to drive financial strategies and decisions
  • Utilize Epic/Tapestry software to streamline and enhance claims processes
  • Understand and apply knowledge of capitation rates in the decision-making process
  • Conduct thorough assessments of current processes and procedures, recommending improvements where necessary
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills, especially when interacting with senior leadership
  • Leverage knowledge of healthcare claims process, policies & procedures, and capitation payments to optimize financial outcomes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role within the Healthcare/NHS industry
  • Demonstrated proficiency in HealthCare Revenue Cycle management
  • Experience with Epic Software is essential
  • Must be knowledgeable in implementing and managing Policies & Procedures in a healthcare setting
  • Experience in managing Capitation Payments is required
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead a team effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to strategize and implement revenue cycle improvement initiatives
  • Ability to analyze data and use it to inform decision-making
  • Must possess a problem-solving mindset with a strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Health Administration, or related field is required, advanced degree preferred.
