The Director of Children's Ministry is responsible for developing, implementing, and leading programs and activities for children in the church and the surrounding community. This includes overseeing Sunday School classes, Children's Worship Services, Wednesday Night Bible Study, Vacation Bible School and other special events. The primary purpose of the role is to build meaningful relationships with children and their parents that cultivates a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive children's ministry program that includes Sunday School, Children's Worship Service, Wednesday Night Bible study, and special outreach events for children in the community.
Lead children in worship, prayer, and Bible study, helping them grow in their understanding and relationship with God.
Communicate regularly with parents about upcoming events and their child's spiritual development.
Encourage and facilitate parent involvement in children's ministry activities.
Promote children's ministry programs and activities within the church and community, encouraging involvement and support using various social media platforms.
Maintain a positive relationship with community partners at local schools through outreach events.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Children's Ministry, Christian Education, Biblical Studies or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in children's ministry or a similar role.
