The Director of Business Development oversees and supports the organization's sales policies, objectives and initiatives. The Director of Business Development sets short- and long-term sales strategies and evaluate effectiveness of current sales programs. This position is responsible for the sale of the organization's services in a specified region or major geographical area and provides ongoing support throughout the various sales objectives within PMC.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Responsible for planning and implementing sales efforts for all short-and long-range goals within assigned regions.
Securing new accounts in deployed market segment
Maintaining existing accounts and developing future business
Executing sales and marketing strategies to maximize the profitability of each account
Prospect for new business leads by soliciting new business within each designated market segment via prospecting, outside sales calls, and relationships with management groups to achieve goals
Attend and participate in networking events on behalf of Parking Management Company
Strive to increase revenue by identifying possible added services to both existing and new contracts
Developing and maintaining good relationships with officials and representatives of local community groups, associations, companies, and trade organizations
Attend sales meeting and lead sales meetings throughout the country
Monitoring sales activities to ensure contracts and proposals are followed up on in a timely manner
Communicating with contracted clients on a regular routine pre-determined basis
Work with multiple teams inside PMC to maintain programs that are market-competitive, reinforce organization strategy, and align with business and sales objectives
Directs and supports implementation of company initiatives and processes
Must be available to travel around territory on a rotating basis, during times of challenge, and for new account openings and prospecting visits travel designated up to 50%

Oversee day-to-day sales, monitoring, and forecasting to better understand the market
Continually assess our marketing techniques and their efficacy in affecting sales
Stay up-to-date on current market trends and sales trends
Work collaboratively with the sales team to assess current projections
Own ultimate responsibility for successfully meeting or exceeding sales goals
Collaborate with sales and operations team to creatively reach more potential customers
Take calculated risks to increase profitability and brand recognition

Requirements And Experience
Travel up to 50%
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel)
Minimum 5 years of sales experience in hospitality, healthcare, or parking industry, OR Bachelors degree in Business Administration or a related discipline, AND a minimum of 3 years of experience in sales
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong team building skills and ability to motivate others
Team-player mindset and willingness to collaborate
Willing to take responsibility and act independently when necessary
Valid in-state drivers license with a clean driving record - Ability to pass PMCs background check and drug screening requirements
Use of personal cell phones may be required for work purposes
