Director of Business Development for MPG


As the Director of Business Development, you are responsible for managing the strategic direction for the Ads by Money department. You will develop new partnerships with publishers and emailers while growing, optimizing, and identifying new opportunities with existing partners. You will have team-based quarterly revenue and P&L targets and are expected to manage performance towards those goals.


Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and execute business development strategies in alignment with quarterly, half-year, and annual goals.
  • Work alongside other team members to cultivate a robust pipeline of revenue opportunities, spanning new publisher acquisitions, email campaigns, content deals, and more.
  • Build and manage a team of Account Executives, overseeing partner outreach and management.
  • Oversee and interpret data, facilitating business reviews with key partners, driving strategic alignment, and fostering growth.
  • Collaborate with Sales to secure advertising budgets and payouts for partner placements.
  • Drive ongoing performance tracking and optimization efforts, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Legal, Product, Finance, and Technology teams to meet business objectives.
  • Provide timely resolution to partner issues and develop a deep understanding of internal systems to enhance stakeholder support.


Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in account and sales management, digital marketing, advertising, or media.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong knowledge of Online Advertising, including Google Analytics, SEO best practices, Affiliate Marketing, Lead Generation, and/or Native marketing.

This is a full-time, remote position. The employee is eligible for company-sponsored benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k), and paid leave.


This job's annual salary ranges from $160,000 to $200,000.


The salary range above represents the minimum and maximum pay for this position at the time of this posting. This role is eligible for a quarterly discretionary bonus based on the variable compensation program established by the company. The final salary offered to the candidate selected for the position will be based on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s professional and academic knowledge and experience, training, and associated duties of the role.
