Position Overview

We're seeking an experienced Director of Business Development to drive strategic partnerships within the acute behavioral health sector. This role is crucial in identifying, negotiating, and executing partnerships that align with our strategic objectives and values while improving member experience and health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partnership Identification:
  • Conduct market research and analyze industry trends
  • Identify strategic partnership opportunities with healthcare providers
  • Assess competitive landscapes
  • Relationship Building:
  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Leverage existing networks and establish new connections
  • Negotiation and Deal Structuring:
  • Lead negotiations with prospective partners
  • Structure mutually beneficial deals aligned with company goals
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, product development, and legal teams
  • Ensure seamless execution of partnership agreements
  • Market Positioning and Thought Leadership:
  • Represent the company at industry events and forums
  • Develop thought leadership content and participate in speaking engagements
  • Performance Tracking and Reporting:
  • Establish KPIs for partnership initiatives
  • Track and analyze performance metrics

Success Criteria

  • Create a strategic partnership plan with stakeholder buy-in
  • Develop comprehensive business cases for partnerships
  • Close partnerships within expected timeframes
  • Build and execute integration plans with operations teams
  • Implement marketing plans for partnerships, including press releases and joint presentations

Qualifications

  • 5-10+ years of experience in healthcare partnerships or strategic collaborations
  • Proven track record in identifying and executing strategic partnerships
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
  • In-depth understanding of the healthcare industry, especially acute behavioral health
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong project management skills
  • Willingness to travel 1-2 times per quarter
