Director of Business Development - Melville, NY

Salary: $150k - $170k Base + Bonus!

On Site, Monday-Friday, 9-5p

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Director of Business and Product Development to spearhead the implementation of new products and programs within our company. This individual will play a pivotal role in executing the executives' vision, translating ideas into tangible strategies and procedures, and driving innovation across the organization. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in business and product development, demonstrating leadership, and possessing a comprehensive understanding of Salesforce systems and integrations. Experience in startup environments or contributing significantly to program/process development within an organization is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities: New Product Implementation: Lead the execution of new products and programs within the company, interpreting the CEO's directives and transforming them into actionable plans. Manage the entire project lifecycle from conceptualization to successful implementation. Strategic Vision Execution: Collaborate closely with executives to comprehend their visions and translate them into clear-cut strategies and operational plans. Drive these visions into practical, scalable initiatives. Program Analysis and Administration: Conduct thorough analysis of new programs or plans, devise efficient processes and procedures, and establish guidelines for successful execution. Autonomous Leadership: Act as the primary point of contact for the conceptualization and execution of new initiatives. Work independently and lead cross-functional teams to achieve desired outcomes. CRM Expertise: Leverage a deep understanding of Salesforce systems and integrations to optimize processes, streamline operations, and ensure seamless implementation of new products or programs. Innovative Thinking: Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and innovation within the company's offerings. Recommend and implement enhancements to existing programs/processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Business Growth Strategy: Develop strategies and execution plans to drive business growth. Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships to enhance product offerings. Market and Trend Analysis: Analyze market trends, competition, and customer needs to inform business development strategies. Identify opportunities for incremental and/or new revenue growth. Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams across product, sales, legal, marketing, and others to deliver on strategic initiatives, ensuring successful implementation as intended. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain impactful relationships with external partners and key stakeholders. Secure cross-functional and executive-level buy-in for key initiatives. Qualifications: Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field. An MBA is preferred. Proven Experience: 8+ years’ work experience in program management, process management, process improvement, or equivalent experience. 3+ years’ experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or related roles. Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the technology industry and market dynamics. Experience in the service contract, insurance, consumer technology services, or related fields. Leadership and Autonomy: Excellent leadership and negotiation skills. Demonstrated ability to drive results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Resourceful self-starter who thrives in ambiguity. Strategic Visionary: Ability to understand and execute the executive team's visions and directives, turning them into well-defined strategies and operational plans. Strategic thinker with a track record of successful business development initiatives. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities to assess and administer new programs, create processes, and establish guidelines for successful execution. Experience building financial models is strongly preferred. Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to convey ideas effectively and collaborate with various stakeholders across the organization. Proven relationship-builder with strong consultative and collaborative skills. Technical Proficiency: Expertise in Salesforce systems and integrations, PowerPoint, and Excel. Ability to work with data and articulate insights clearly. About the Company:
