$120,000 - $150,000 per year, based on experience

Summary:
Join Mendocino Farms as the Director of Brand Growth, reporting directly to the VP of Sales & Marketing. Lead a dynamic team dedicated to nurturing and expanding our brand presence. Your role will be pivotal in safeguarding and advancing the Mendo brand as it ventures into new territories and markets. You'll orchestrate a team focused on consumer insights, elevating guest experiences, and fostering positive brand connections.
Responsibilities:
- Understand our consumers better than anyone else through guest feedback and consumer insights gathering; be able to use that data and insights to drive innovation and change across the organization.
- Partner with the VP of Sales & Marketing and the Director of Marketing and Engagement on the management of our agency partner.
- Stay in lockstep on strategy, focus, execution excellence, and budgets.
- Lead Mendo’s guest relations strategy, oversight of execution, and insights gathering. Responsible for directing the Guest Relations Coordinator on circulating and leveraging insights across functions.
- Partner with Mendo’s Creative Director on our content strategy and how we continue to innovate and create a stronger pipeline of content.
- Find and pursue partnerships with like-minded brands that speak to similar audiences; specific focus on neighborhoods and markets where we need to draw in new consumers (e.g., TX, CO, WA).
- Enhance our PR efforts at local and national levels, identifying opportunities for increased impact.
- Spearhead a strategic plan for internal and external brand merchandise over the next 2-5 years, ensuring alignment with brand objectives.
- Work closely with the Director of Marketing and Engagement on the guest feedback loop, and how to best engage with guests in an on-brand way.
- Serve as the marketing representative and advocate during the R&D process.
- Lead culinary strategy meetings alongside the Director of Culinary & Supply Chain, providing brand-focused insights and direction.
- Manage digital menu content and decisions in alignment with brand objectives. Lead select Business Growth and innovation initiatives, contributing to strategic imperatives.
- Partake in weekly Sales & Marketing team meetings, providing key Brand updates and stepping in to take on more of a leadership role in these meetings over time.
- Develop and mentor a high-performing team, starting with the Guest Relations Coordinator
Requirements:
- 8+ years of relevant experience in brand and marketing roles.
- Strong passion for consumer insights and enhancing consumer experiences.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of achieving results through collaboration.
- Excellent planning and organizational abilities, with a forward-thinking mindset.
- Proficiency in managing multiple priorities and fostering collaboration across functions.
- Familiarity with paid media planning, execution, and reporting.
- A team player with a positive attitude, driven by results and innovation.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
- Physical capability to lift 25 pounds and perform various tasks as needed.
