Position Summary:

Evaluate and modify existing compensation and benefits programs, policies, and procedures. Develop and implement new compensation and benefits programs, policies, and procedures. Ensure all programs, policies, and procedures comply with current legislation. Communicate with third-party services to negotiate benefit plans and resolve benefit-related issues.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Support the executive and HR team with activities, relative to compensation and benefits.
  • Develop profit-sharing, incentive, and employee wellness programs
  • Develop and administer various employee benefits programs, such as medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans
  • Has the authority to develop and present any new or modified company policies and procedures to the executive board for approval
  • Design compensation packages and bonus programs that align with the company’s strategic plan
  • Ensure that all employees understand benefit programs and counsel employees as situations arise
  • Work as liaison with insurance carriers/broker and employees to resolve issues
  • Partner with the executive and HR team in assessing, designing, and applying compensation activities related to performance management and promotion cycles.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations related to compensation and benefits. Ensure all programs, policies, and procedures comply with current legislation
  • Handle confidential information with sensitivity and discretion
  • Communicate with third-party services to negotiate benefit plans and resolve benefit-related issues



Qualifications:

  • A bachelors degree in business, human resources, accounting, or in a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in compensation and benefits management/leadership
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience working with a benefits team
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations related to employee compensation and benefits
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing work priorities and communicate with a significant diversity of individuals and/or groups
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Professional certification in compensation or benefits (e.g. CCP, CBP, CPM, CPP, or CCBM) required
