Application Services is a department at Cask that specializes in application development and delivery for federal, SLED (State, Local, and Education), and public sector clients. We are an award-winning ServiceNow Partner in Creator Workflows and are obsessed with leveraging innovative solutions on the ServiceNow platform through agile delivery methodologies that drive transformative change for our clients.

Cask is seeking a Director of Application Services to lead the delivery and growth of the Cask Application Services function. In this role, you will oversee multiple agile programs and development teams, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality applications on the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate is a collaborative strategic thinker with a deep understanding of ServiceNow and a passion for driving excellence in tailored technology.

Here's what you'll dive into:

Strategy and Leadership:

  • Develop and execute the overall strategy for the practice, including roadmaps, short & long-term business targets, and team growth/development plans
  • Lead and manage the Application Services department, overseeing multiple agile programs and development teams
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align Application Services with business goals and objectives
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, continuous improvement, and excellence within the teams

Service Offering Innovation and Marketing Support:

  • Lead service offering innovation to design, deliver, support, and improve new and/or enhanced services
  • Collaborate with the service portfolio / marketing organization to publish thought leadership, promote Application Services, and communicate business and operational benefits
  • Develop and publish sales collateral, scoping materials, and standardized solution offerings for use by the global organization

Client Relationship and Business Growth:

  • Develop and manage client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and driving business growth through the delivery of high-quality services and solutions
  • Support sales activities by participating in client meetings, presentations, and proposal development to secure new business opportunities
  • Collaborate with Sales leadership to define sales and resourcing targets and exceed team billable hour targets

Collaborative Delivery Oversight:

  • Collaborate with US delivery teams and Global Technical Services to ensure integrated solution/service delivery
  • Ensure project compliance with standards, regulations, and development best practices, particularly with federal and SLED clients
  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics to ensure business goals are met

Team Management and Development:

  • Oversee the recruitment, development, and retention of Application Architects, Product Managers and Owners, and Agile Coaches within the Application Services Department
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to team members

Continuous Improvement:

  • Keep up-to-date with the latest ServiceNow developments, trends, and industry best practices
  • Assist team in achieving Billable Hour & Utilization targets
  • Act as part of the Transformation leadership team to influence, guide, and lead the segment

Here's what you'll bring to our table:

Skills and Experience:

  • At least 10 years of consulting experience in ServiceNow development, implementation, and support services, with a proven track record of successful project delivery and client satisfaction
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in application development and delivery, with at least 5 years in a mid to senior leadership role
  • Proven experience managing agile programs and development teams
  • Strong knowledge of a variety of processes and tools, with an emphasis on scaled Agile
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders at all levels
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field / equivalent experience. Advanced degree preferred
  • ServiceNow certifications, such as Certified Implementation Specialist, Certified System Administrator, and Certified Application Developer, are preferred

Note: Base salary range is $150,000 to $180,000. This range represents the expected compensation for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range when taking into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to location; skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
