About

Mount Saint Joseph High School (MSJ) is an all-boys Catholic high school in Baltimore focusing on college-prep curriculum in the Xaverian tradition. As a diverse, inclusive school devoted to preparing our students to live and work in an increasingly globalized and multicultural society, MSJ is particularly interested in professionals with demonstrated interest and experience in working in such a school setting. The Director of Annual Giving and Stewardship works closely with the Executive Director of Development as well as development, marketing, and business office staff.


Job Description

MSJ is seeking a passionate and experienced Director of Annual Giving and Stewardship to join our Advancement team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating annual giving campaigns and stewardship initiatives to support the mission and vision of Mount Saint Joseph High School. 


Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement annual giving strategies, including direct mail, email, phone-a-thons, and online giving platforms.

- Cultivate relationships with donors, alumni, parents, and other stakeholders to increase engagement and philanthropic support.

- Coordinate stewardship activities to recognize and thank donors and volunteers, including personalized acknowledgments, donor recognition events, and stewardship reports.

- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure alignment of messaging and fundraising efforts for grants.

- Utilize Raiser’s Edge for data analytics to track and evaluate fundraising performance, making adjustments as needed to optimize results.

- Assist with other advancement activities and events as assigned.  Some evening and weekend work required.


Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, nonprofit management, or related field.

- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in fundraising, annual giving, or donor relations, preferably in a nonprofit or educational setting.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling fundraising appeals and stewardship materials.

- Proficiency or willingness to learn Raiser’s Edge and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
