Job Description

The Director of Agent Development will focus on growing Beemac through agent and fleet owner recruitment and potential business acquisitions. The new Director will have a proven track record of developing new business relationships in the transportation industry. He/she will utilize their network of potential strategic partners to forge new business relationships between Beemac Trucking and agency partners.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Recruitment of new Agents and Fleet owners.
  • Develop and implement new agent opportunities utilizing prior experience, technology, and other means.
  • Onboarding new agents – Ensure a seamless transition into the Beemac system.
  • Work with Safety, Compliance, and Recruiting during Agent, fleet owner, and equipment onboarding.
  • Develop processes to streamline the onboarding process.
  • Work with our existing network of Agents to provide them with the necessary tools to grow and evolve their businesses.
  • Act as a liaison between Agents and Beemac departments when needed.
  • Contract negotiations with potential agents. Every potential agent has different wants and needs.
  • Understanding the strategic partnership. Not every opportunity is a good fit.
  • Adjust “strategic focus” based on the constantly changing needs of the transportation industry.


Required Qualifications

  • Required 1-3 years experience in Agent recruitment and new business development.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-3 years prior management experience in the transportation space
  • Possess a robust network of contacts in the transportation industry.
  • Ability to travel regularly (25% of the time).
  • Effective contract negotiation skills
  • Ability to develop and implement new processes
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
