Job Description

The University of Indianapolis seeks a collaborative, dynamic, and strategic leader to serve as its new Director of Admission. Reporting to the Vice President for Enrollment Management, the Director of Admission will work to shape the development of the University's undergraduate outreach, recruitment, and yield strategies; create admission policies and procedures; and manage the day-to-day operations of the admissions office.

The new Director serves as a key member of the enrollment leadership team to develop strategies and initiatives designed to secure and strengthen the University’s position with prospective students, families, and secondary school partners. The ideal candidate will be a data-informed thought partner with an understanding of regional trends and markets with a demonstrated track record of success in college admissions.

Qualifications- Director Of Admissions

• Demonstrated successes in leading complex strategic initiatives and translating high aspirations into achievable and measurable goals and accomplishments;
• An understanding of best practices in admissions for mid-size, private universities;
• Experience using data to identify and assess the effectiveness of admission policies and practices;
• The ability to communicate effectively with all constituencies, including prospective students and their families;
• Proven ability to develop rapport and work collaboratively with faculty to identify and articulate the outcomes of the UIndy experience in order to effectively recruit and enroll students;
• Effectively balance high-level strategic thinking with hands-on engagement in daily activities;
• Evidence of creating a more equitable and inclusive environment for people of all backgrounds and identities;
• Experience with the Slate CRM or other similar CRM used in admissions and recruitment.
• Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred
• Five years of admissions experience showing progressive advancement leading recruitment efforts required
  
  

Responsibilities- Director of Admissions

• Champion the work of the admissions team and inspire an environment of shared institutional responsibility for enrollment across the entire UIndy campus.
• Set expectations, provide clear direction, and create a space that encourages staff to operate at the highest level.
• Play a critical role in the development and execution of a strategic enrollment management plan that aligns with UIndy’s mission and vision.
• Implement enrollment practices and policies that acknowledge shifting state, and regional demographic trends and changing student enrollment behaviors.
• Partner with Marketing to evaluate the effectiveness of the University’s current efforts to increase its visibility among prospective students and identify new platforms and strategies for reaching students in UIndy’s traditional and emerging markets.
• Collect and analyze data to develop benchmarks, metrics, timelines, and best practices to measure progress toward admission goals and aspirations.
• Engage campus partners in a University-wide effort to attract and enroll UIndy students.
• Ensure that the University maintains strong connections with its traditional feeder high schools and continues to cultivate partnerships with high schools and community programs in emerging markets.
